I used garlic powder and hot chili pepper. If I had fresh garlic I would have used that! Turn your oven to 400'F
Clean potatoes and then cut them in half.
Score the potatoes in a cross pattern. Try not to cut all the way through the skin. I score about 4-5 lines one way then the same the other way.
When all are scored then spread butter on the score marks. Push the ends to open the cracks, so the butter gets in most of the cracks. Use as much butter as desired.
Add all your desired spices and herbs onto the potatoes.
Place them face down onto a cookie sheet. I line with foil for easier clean up. Turn up the edges of the foil so the butter doesn't run off. Drizzle oil over the potatoes.
Place in 400'F oven for about 35-45 mins or until done to your preference.
When the potatoes have a little wrinkle and a crispy bottoms, they are done! I let sit a couple of minutes so any butter/oil suck back into the potatoes.
I was hungry so they weren't crispy as I like but that's what they look like done. Put with your main dish and ENJOY!!
